Unexpected nature

The Massif du Gros Cerveau in Ollioules offers innumerable places for walking, hiking and breathtaking viewpoints stretching from the islands of Hyères to the Calanques de Cassis - Marseille and the whole chain of Sainte Baume. The massif of Cap Sicié, at the tip of Seyne and Six Fours, to be discovered especially in spring, will make you discover many plant species: cyst, cork oaks, broom, Aleppo pines...
Six Fours à Saint Mandrier is one of the most impressive coastal paths along the Varois coast. The panoramic views are breathtaking. Nature is in its raw state, vegetation is often carved by the wind... The colors and transparency of the Mediterranean Sea will offer you a palette of intense blues.
In summer the cicadas will accompany you throughout your walks with their singular song... immersion in Provence.

Les Sablettes beach

Beaches for all tastes

Perhaps you would let yourself be tempted by the large sandy beach of Les Sablettes à la Seyne, with a view on the Deux Frères, (twin rocks in the shape of sugar loaf giving birth to the legend of two brothers madly in love with a mermaid). Or by the creeks of Cap Nègre at Six Fours, suitable for underwater observation in fins, mask and snorkel. Finally, the pebble beach of Cavalas in Saint Mandrier will seduce you with its tranquility and tranquillity. Accessible by car or on foot via the path of Les Douaniers, it remains one of the wildest beaches on the coast.

The sunniest region in France

I'm sick of the greyness and the never-ending winter?
Trust in mathematics:) Indeed, it is in the West Var that the country's highest sunshine rate is recorded. It is around 2,900 hours per year. The benefits of the sun on our health are no longer to be proven. Enough to fill up with vitamin D and beautiful photos of sunsets, which we guarantee you will make many envious!

ND du Mai

A rich historical and cultural heritage

Ollioules, Saint Mandrier, La Seyne and Six Fours are home to a large religious, cultural, military and maritime heritage. This past, as you will see, is still very much present in the hearts of the inhabitants. On May 1st for example, it is customary to go to the chapel Notre Dame du Mai located at the highest point of Cap Sicié. The ascent is done on foot starting from the city centre of Six Fours by following the path of oratories. The chapel, exceptionally opened in May, offers visitors a multitude of ex-voto portraying sea fortunes. Every summer, in Saint Mandrier is celebrated the Saint-Pierre, the traditional feast of fishermen. It is one of the events not to be missed, an essential part of your holiday! You will be able to taste the specialities of local fishermen such as mouclade and sardinade and discover the parade of mandrean bravadours and folk groups.
Our heritage is rich and alive, our traditions are within your reach!

Tapenade, rosé wine

Land of greed

A successful holiday must satisfy your taste buds! That's a good thing because the West var is full of Provençal speciliates and good addresses. On the sweet side, we propose a visit to the nougat factory of Maison Jonquier in Ollioules. You will have the pleasure of tasting a traditional family recipe handed down over 130 years ago! Always on Ollioules, see you on the 1st weekend of October for the feast of the Olive Tree. To honour this day: the olive and especially olive oil. Culinary demonstrations, tastings of Provençal specialities will be proposed to you, as well as the famous contest of aïoli!  And if you have never tasted it, I invite you to push the door of a restaurant on Fridays, because with us on Fridays it's Aïoli!
Difficult to quote them all but let's not forget the famous cade to be tasted on the go, fish soup, bouillabaisse, pistou soup, stew...
Our Provençal culture of happiness is attached to simple things, a few friends gathered around a tapenade or an anchovy, a game of petanque, a tour on the colourful and fragrant stalls of the markets of Provence.
