The tourist office commitment about sustainable tourisme

You are never too young to pick up good environmental habits.

There's no age limit to adopting good ecological habits, and you need to keep them up even on holiday!

Because saving the planet depends above all on making people (adults and children) more aware of the environment, here are a few tips to put into practice on holiday.

Consult the "Being an ecotourist in Provence-Mediterranean" guide below.

The right thing to do

Don't forget to check out our "Getting around in the western Var" section to find out about alternative transport options :)

A designated canine bathing area is available on the Bonnegrâce beach in Six Fours les Plages on a section of the beach known as "Brutal Beach". Dogs are allowed access to this area, with the exception of 1st and 2nd category dogs. Dogs must be kept on a lead and must not disturb the neighbourhood.

At La Seyne, at the very end of the Saint-Elme harbour (at the end of the Sablettes beach) and just after the diving club, a canine beach area, or toutou beach, is open to all owners who want to take a dip with their best friend(s).

For hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed on any other beach. This is an essential criterion, synonymous with the cleanliness of our beaches, as part of the Blue Flag label.
Puppy Clean" bags are available for self-service in the communes.

Pocket ashtrays are available free of charge from the Tourist Office and the town council.
