Musée archéologique Bottin Layet

Archaeological museum of the city, which presents the artifacts resulting from the excavations carried out on the Celto-Ligurian oppidum of the Courtine by the Var archaeological centre in partnership with the Regional Archaeology Service.

The Celto-Ligurian oppidum of the Courtine is a site of ancient habitation, the remains of which are inscribed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments, which was occupied from the 7th to the 1st centuries BC.
The museum guide tells the story of this ancient residential site and traces the lives of the first inhabitants of the town.

The town of Ollioules, in partnership with the
Regional Department of Antiquities, the Var
Archaeological Centre and the Ollioules Heritage
Research Group, invites you to discover the
archaeological heritage of the Oppidum of Courtine
occupied from the 5th to 2nd centuries BC., by visiting the Bottin Layet municipal centre.

Période(s) d'ouvertureFrom 01/01 to 31/12/2023, 1st Saturday of the month.
Please note: the museum will only be open by reservation on the first Saturday of the month and coupled with a guided walk to the Oppidum de la Courtine or in the medieval centre of Ollioules.
