Extend summer in the South

The South yes, but not just any South! The natural, authentic South, the one where the coasts are still wild, the forests preserved, where the coffee terraces and Provencal markets come alive all year round, where the culture moves, the heritage is alive, where the accents sing and the sun shines.
Our South is 4 towns located between Marseille and Toulon, with complementary assets, a stone's throw from the Provencal villages of Le Castellet, Sanary sur mer, or the Calanques de Cassis.

The West Var, 4 charming towns: La Seyne sur Mer, Saint Mandrier sur mer, Ollioules and Six Fours Les Plages, and 5 good reasons to come!

1/ The weather is still fine and the temperatures are mild.

In some regions of France, summer is already a distant memory.  We put on our boots and put on our down jackets to face the gloomy days. Meanwhile, in the West Var, it is rather glass of rosé on the terrace, swimming in the creeks and sunbathing on the beach. Which will have the gift to make your friends grumble when you send them a photo of your mojito in front of the Deux Frères, or of your toes fanning out in a cove. Let's face it, sunbathing before winter is good for your morale!

2 / You will feel privileged

Imagine yourself... away from the summer crowds. Listen to the lapping of the sea, the singing of the birds. Put your towel wherever you like to relax and read a book on the beach. Improvise a picnic with products from the market. Have a little coffee in the sun on the port of Le Brusc while everyone is at work, or chat with the locals during a game of pétanque.  They will tell you how much they love their region and will probably be a bit chauvinistic! Maybe they'll even tell you their secret corners! But shhh...

3/ The cultural season is in full swing

Between a contemporary art exhibition at the Villa Tamaris, a visit to the brand new heritage house of the Metropolis, the discovery of the surprising installations of the Design Parade, or a visit to the Rue du Graff, you won't know where to set your eyes.
Did you miss the live shows? Attend a contemporary dance show in Châteauvallon - national stage, in complete safety in the amphitheatre, or choose the intimate concerts in the Tisot and Malraux areas. You can also experience the magic of festivals in small groups with the "Rade Side" festival in Toulon. Fans will also be able to visit the art workshops in Ollioules.

4/ Nature reveals its treasures to us

In the West Var, nature will reveal its secrets and give you all its strength to recharge your batteries. Cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, forests of century-old trees, protected lagoon, creeks and wild islands will be highlighted by superb colours. And autumn is the season of romance, so why not enjoy a romantic sunset facing the sea at the end of the Gaou peninsula?

5/ You won't get bored

If you're in a fidgeting mode rather than lazing around, you'll be spoilt for choice. All water sports activities are open until about mid-November, depending on the weather. This still leaves plenty of time to discover the coast in a kayak or paddle, take a surfing course (yes, you can surf in the Mediterranean!), or go diving off the coast of Les Embiez or Les 2 Frères. If you prefer to let yourself go for a walk, you can opt for a sea trip to discover our beautiful coasts, around the Calanques de Cassis or spend the day in Porquerolles. Cornelian choice to choose between a day on a catamaran, a dolphin-watching trip or take off by parasailing...
On the hiking side, the West Var also abounds in peaks and ledges that will offer you grandiose panoramas. For a big bowl of iodine, it is on the side of the coastal path that it takes place. From Six Fours to Saint Mandrier, kilometres of path overlooking the sea among the most beautiful of the Mediterranean. Imagine... On the higher side, you will appreciate the hiking trails around the Gorges d'Ollioules or the Gros Cerveau. From short strolls to the most sportive hikes, you are sure to find what you are looking for.

You want to come but you are still hesitating between a romantic weekend, a trip with friends, or a family holiday on All Saints' Day?
