Villa - Tamaris - Maillard Yves
Large villa in a quiet, in the greenery at 1 500 m from the beaches, able to accommodate up to 12 people. Small sea view on each level. 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. All shops nearby. Ranked as a 3-star furnished tourist accommodation.
Ideal holiday home for a large family or group of friends
With its generous spaces spread over 2 levels, the villa can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people. It is organised for holidays or any leisure stay, in summer or all year round. It offers five bedrooms (from 10 to 20 m2), three bathrooms, two with bathtub and one with shower and toilet. There are also two independent toilets.
The villa offers a large living room of more than 50m2, in which you can all meet together, with dining area, and an independent kitchen where you can have your meals.
It is furnished by the owners of antique furniture and family objects who make it all the charm and to which they are very attached.
It has all the comforts of home. In the summer of a barbecue. In winter, central heating and additional heating by a tiled wood stove provide a very special atmosphere.
A recently restored piano contributes to this atmosphere.
It has a small view of the sea at each level, both on the sea and on the bay of Lazaret which is part of the bay of Toulon, one of the most beautiful harbours in Europe. An unfinished but accessible second floor offers a solarium sheltered from view. You can also relax in the 1200 m2 enclosed and shaded garden and the children can play in peace.
The house has a garage. In addition, both inside and outside the property in condominium spaces (subdivisions), several vehicles can be parked without difficulty.
The region is rich in walking goals both by the sea and in the interior of the country. It is also rich in cultural places and memory: castles, Romanesque or Gothic chapels, museums, old Provençal villages...
We fell in love with this green district with its varied Mediterranean flavours, set in a very rugged coastline, with the omnipresent sea, including several beaches, several strikes and small ports. It is located in a perfectly quiet area and at the same time close to all amenities
The Tamaris district is located on one of the most beautiful tourist sites on the French Riviera, apart from the most famous ones. It has managed to preserve its authentic charm of yesteryear with its large villas from the beginning of the century, some of which are listed as remarkable buildings, its green spaces, its promenade by the sea a few hundred metres from the house, its former forts converted into tourist resorts. Accessible directly from our allotment by a private road, the hill of Fort Napoléon, a historical site, contains a communal forest, with a sporting route and enjoys a beautiful view over the bay of Toulon. A little further on, the vast state forest of Janas, at Cape Sicié, rises to the chapel of Notre Dame du Mai from where you have a very beautiful view of the sea and the region.
Mountain biking and horseback riding are possible. 1500 m from the house, the beach of Les Sablettes, extended by that of Mar-Vivo, is one of the most beautiful beaches in the region, sheltered from the wind and with particularly clear water. Its sand is exclusively natural sand. At the other end, in the small, very Mediterranean port of Saint-Elme, with its typical (pointed) fishing boats, you can practice water sports: renting windsurfing boards, sailboats and motor boats, with or without a licence, diving by a very dynamic club. In the early morning or evening after the fishermen return, you can buy fresh fish of an exquisite taste.
The city centre of the Seyne, an old Provencal village, with its colourful market, has recently been completely renovated with the creation of beautiful and vast promenades and shaded avenues by the sea as well as a park and elegant new buildings. It also contains an important marina.
10 km away, the city of Toulon offers all the facilities of a large city (including a TGV station, less than 4 hours from Paris). Hyères airport is half an hour away by the highway
Several historical sites near the house (Fort Napoleon, Fort Balaguier, its naval museum and its prison museum, Villa "Tamaris"...) broadcast throughout the year cultural shows or quality exhibitions.
