In this tender, mischievous show, François Morel rescues from oblivion a sailor-poet who sang the praises of the Breton coast. With the help of his equally mischievous acolytes, the ex-Deschiens sets these old-fashioned texts to music in a delightful way.
François Morel says he came across La Cancalaise, a brochure dating from 1894, in which twelve songs by Yves-Marie Le Guilvinec were reproduced. In Saint-Malo, Guingamp and Lorient, they recounted the daily lives of sailors, solitude and love, intoxication and freedom. Fascinated, he vowed to bring back to life the fisherman who swore that "with tuna, all is good".

François Morel is part singer, part comedian in this droll musical comedy with a ship-like setting. He and his companions joyfully revive these memories. And he gives voice to this once-popular poetry to the sound of guitar and accordion. Tous les marins sont des chanteurs is a humorous little gem.
