Best of your holidays with a dog

It is well known that our little four-legged friends love to go for walks in the countryside, whether in the forest or by the sea.

In this page you will discover the "famous instagogs" of La Seyne, Ollioules, Saint Mandrier or Six Fours, crossed on our paths, on foot, in kayak or in paddle.

The Parc de la Méditerranée in Six Fours

This park located on the tip of Cap Nègre has a developed part and a "wilder" part. Surrounded by the Grande Bleue, it offers spectacular views over the bay of Sanary, the island of Embiez, or the windsurfers of the bay of Coudoulière.
We love the contrast between the vegetation and the black volcanic rock. And it is not Sunny the Fluffy Corgi who will tell us otherwise!

The Notre Dame du Mai Chapel

For those who know the place, the Chapelle Notre Dame du Mai, at the top of the Cap Sicié massif, offers a panoramic view of the Toulon harbour, the Hyères islands and the Cassis creeks. A walk appreciated by dog owners, it is also appreciated by walkers and families, so remember to keep your dog on a lead.

The coastal path

As you know, dogs are not allowed on the beaches, with the exception of the 2 cani beaches located at St Elme in La Seyne or at the end of the Bonnegrâce beach in Six Fours. However, if you can't do without the magnificent landscapes offered by the seaside, it is perfectly possible to go for a walk with your dog on the coastal path as long as it respects the peace and quiet of the people who are relaxing in the creeks during your visit.

The coastal path has several sections between Saint Mandrier, La Seyne and Six Fours, some suitable for beginners and others more sporty. Remember to wear shoes and take water for your pet.

The Island of Embiez

It is not only humans who have the right to access this little paradise. Dogs (except category 1 and 2 dogs) are accepted on the island as well as on the shuttles and in the establishments. When they are on the island or in the common areas of the establishments, they must be kept on a leash.

Remember to buy a ticket for your pet when you book your crossing

On the water!

You love the sea and water activities but you think that with your pet it won't be possible?

Don't panic, some service providers accept pets, sometimes under conditions. Some sea trips, such as outings to the creeks, to Porquerolles or to the harbour, are possible with your dog. It is also possible to rent a boat for more freedom and take your dog wherever you want.

Special mention to "Bruscain Paddle" which offers paddles and kayaks for hire on which you can take your dogs (or cats, but not sure they'll appreciate it!). They will also provide you with a life jacket for your dog, adapted to his size, and specific instructions.
